85 Day Reading Challenge

This Reading Challenge will take you out of the Days of the Judges to the Rise of the Kingdom of Israel, its Split, and its Fall into Captivity.  As you read and see the rise and fall of kings keep an eye out for the fingerprint of God as He directs and corrects the course of Israel’s way.

Helpful Hints when reading: 
Northern Kingdom – Israel - Capital City Samaria à Conquered by the Assyrians in 722 BC

Southern Kingdom – Judah - Capital City Jerusalem à Babylon Captivity began in 597 BC

50 Day Bible Reading Challenge


Dear Church Family,
       We are about to embark upon some of the most interesting times in the Life of Israel in the Old Testament.  Over 400 years of slavery, 40 years of banishment in the wilderness have come to an end.  God leads His children into the Promised Land to take possession of their inheritance.  With the struggles of war in the midst of the land God raises up Judges to lead the people.  
       In the New Testament we see God fulfill His great promise of redemption for all mankind through the promised Son of God, Jesus.  Through the writings of Paul, James and Peter we discover life is more than simply existing, it is living for the Lord for His Glory.
       This installment will complete the New Testament readings of our challenge.  I would encourage you to enjoy the Word of God, I would rather you read less and get more out of it than to rush through and get little from it.  They are not dated so if you miss a reading session you’re not behind, just pick up from where you left off.  Never Quit, Never Surrender. Make the devil mad and know the Word.
